A extremely fine Sang de Boeuf (oxblood) Brush washer from the 19th century. A beautiful literary object used for cleaning brushes from scrolls or paintings. Fantastic deep red colours matched with blues, purples and light greens on the edge of the rim. Very light west consistent with age.
